Can I visit you for a Saddle Fitting Consultation?


In short No! Saddle fitting consultations are only conducted on a Nationwide basis, whereby Lauren our fully qualified saddle fitter comes to you. For more details see Here.




Is your saddle fitter a saddle fitter or saddle seller?


Our True Master Saddle Fitter Lauren Coxhead is a saddle 'fitter' through and through. Lauren takes care of the silent voice in the equation, your horse! Whilst tending to the needs of yourself. She will look to the future and assess the saddle fit accordingly......Our Nationwide consultations are by far the most comprehensive in Ireland. Is your Saddle Fitter & Chief Advisor qualified?


Absolutely! Our saddle fitter and cheif advisor is no other than the massively regarded Lauren Coxhead SMS QSF MSFC. Lauren is a Qualified Saddle Fitter QSF certified by the Society of Master Saddlers SMS. Lauren has also achieved the certification of Master Saddle Fitting Consultant MSFC. SADDLE TRIALS

How many saddles can I take on trial at any one time?


You can take as many saddles as you like! Each saddle will be sent in one box (but if we can fit 2 in a box we will!). Each returned box shall be subject to the return fee of €20.




What if I do not know how to fit a saddle?


Saddle fit should never be underestimated. You should have a good grasp of saddle fitting or employ somebody you trust. When you choose to trial saddles through us you will find in the box a pack, this pack will contain basic saddle fit advice and details of how the trials work. Alternatively prior to your trial feel free to send us images and details of your situation and our True Master Saddle Fitter will assess your horse and recommend trial saddles. She will then work through the trial with you via images and descriptions. For more information lick Here. She will however never say that a saddle fits when working remotely.......We can only offer advice. The responsibility is yours when trialling saddles.




Do you offer saddle fit advice?


We do offer saddle fit advice when you wish to trial saddles! We will virtually always ask for images and descriptions. Once our advisor is armed with all the information they need they will be able to suggest specifically which saddles to try! However the advice is not definitive! The responsibility for fit is yours when trialing saddles.




Can I send you pictures and videos of my horse?


Yes you can - When wishing to trial saddles, pictures and videos help greatly and will normally be requested by our team in most circumstances. For details see Here. However we cannot fit saddles remotely, we can only offer suggestions on what may fit. The responsibility of the actual fit falls to you.




What happens if I fail to notify you of the return of my trialled saddles before the trial end?


Your payment for the trial saddle/s will be put through at the trial end automatically at 12pm midnight on the 5th full day of your trial or 12pm midnight on the 6th day if you include the day of delivery. If we do not hear from you within the trial period we assume you are keeping the saddle/s! Once the trial has ended we will not be able to refund your deposit. Instead we will buy the saddle back from you directly for the sale price less €170. The return delivery becomes your responsibility and must be carried out in a timely fashion.




How much does it cost me to trial a saddle?


Nothing if the trial is a success. €20 if the trial fails.....in the case of a failed trial, we will alter your deposit amount to just €20 on return of the trial saddle. This fee is to help towards the costs associated with the saddle trial. We do not make money on failed trials, in fact overall we loose money.




How do I secure a new or used saddle for trial?


We recommend you secure your saddle/s online with immediate affect! Why risk losing your ideal saddle? You can secure any saddle for trial immediately by adding it to your basket, then checking out and selecting either 'OFFLINE PAYMENT', Online Card Payment, Paypal, Applepay or Bank Transfer. If you select 'OFFLINE PAYMENT' We will contact you and you can pay your full value deposit via all major credit or debit cards over the phone. Customers often choose this option when they want to reserve a saddle but also need advice. If you select 'Card Payment' 'Paypal' or 'Applepay' your saddle will be automatically reserved and sent on the next working day!

When can I call you for advice?


We are available to offer advice via phone or Live chat Monday - Friday 10am to 4pm. You can send emails and contact forms anytime, we will get back to you as soon as we can.




Do you offer Trials on both New and Used Saddles?


Yes - We provide trials on new and used saddles through our new and used saddle trial facility.......Learn how our trials work Here. However - If a saddle is ordered from our New Saddle Range we automatically assume it is a direct sale as with any product outside of our trial facility!.......If you want a trial with a direct sale saddle, you must make us aware and we will happily oblige if the saddle is one we are willing to except back in a used state should the trial fail......




Can I ride in a new or used saddle I have on trial?


Absolutely.....It would not be much of a trial if you do not ride in the saddle. When you trial a saddle with us, both new and used you are absolutely expected to ride in it, girth it, play with it, change gullets etc etc etc......Its important you choose the right saddle, you can only do that by riding in it!




Do I get gullets with my adjustable trial saddle?


Absolutely. If you trial a New adjustable saddle with us we supply 3 FREE gullets for you to ascertain the correct width. If you trial a used adjustable saddle with us we supply 3 gullets at a very minimum cost. When the trial succeeds in the case of a new trial saddle, congratulations you get 3 Gullets for FREE. These can be worth upto €130 in the case of GFS saddles! When a used saddle trial succeeds you can choose to keep the gullets (most folk do as they aare essentially half price) or you can send them back and we refund you the cost of the gullets. In all trials both new and used, should the trial fail, all gullets, tools, accessories, covers, labels and tags, must be returned with the trial saddle.




What happens if I decide I no longer want the trial saddle after the trial end?


Once the trial has ended we will not be able to refund your deposit, sellers are paid, funds are re-allocated and the transaction complete! So essentially we will be buying your saddle from you, as if it is a completely new transaction. We will buy your saddle from you for the minimum fee it costs us to sell a saddle in the first place.....this is known as our minimum overhead and is €170. The transaction will be exactly the same as if you approached us to 'Sell a Saddle through or to us'.........the only difference is we will only apply our minimum overhead as opposed to our medium or maximum rates. The sending of your saddle back to us is your responsibility. This is the fairest we can be - This is a worst case scenario failsafe for our customers and it is very rare that it happens as we apply due diligance in the first instance of our trials.......Essentially the method neautralises the costs associated with the original sale of the saddle. Please appreciate, most, if not all retailers will not be as forth coming!




How do your saddle trial's work?


Our trials are very simple and come with FREE delivery in S.Ireland. ​​ Our trials are only available in S.Ireland. For E.U. trials visit www.saddleseurope.eu ​​ Choose your saddle/s with or without our help. Secure the saddle/s with a full value deposit. We send the saddle to you for FREE. ​​ Your trial starts the day after arrival for 5 'FULL' days...........thats 5 full 24 hr days or 6 days if you include the day of arrival. ​​​ TRIAL SUCCESS - Awesome! Do nothing or tell us how thrilled you are. ​​ TRIAL FAIL - NOTIFY US WITHIN THE TRIAL PERIOD Let us know by email, phone or otherwise. We will send you a Pre-Paid Label for the return of the saddle via AnPost. Once the saddle/s are back we void the deposit less €20 to help towards the return courier fee.





GENERAL INFORMATION

Do you do trade in's?


We do not do trade in's in relation to our saddle trial process. All transactions are treated seperately....... This is to say if you trial a saddle the costs are seperate to any other transaction! As a sperate transaction we may buy your saddle directly or offer to sell your saddle for you...... We may take saddles as trade in's through our Nationwide True Master Saddle Fitting Service.




Can you sell my saddle for me or buy my saddle directly?

What payment methods can I use?


All major CREDIT and DEBIT CARDS by phone. All major CREDIT and DEBIT CARDS online. Paypal. Applepay Bank Transfer by request.




What courier service do you use and how much?


All orders over the value of €150 and Trial saddles will be sent to you for FREE via AnPost. All orders under €150 will cost just €6.99 for delivery with AnPost. Some folk knock AnPost.....We never do!......They are brilliant!........

  • Parcels inc saddles are delivered with your postman.
  • We have never had a parcel lost!
  • 90% of our deliveries arrive next day!
Deliveries can be delayed around Christmas, which is to be expected. Please make provision for this.




When selling or buying a saddle for or from me, will you pay the final sum in cash or to another bank account?


NO! Never! The agreed Final Sale Price will ONLY be paid via bank transfer to the bank account of the named seller, without exception. NO CASH!




How long does it take to sell a saddle?


This is a very common question and one we simply can not answer. Sometimes our associated fitters will have a client waiting for a specific saddle or size so the sale can happen quite quickly, otherwise all we can say is "You never know". Sometimes the most unlikely saddles are gone immediately and highly desirable saddles can take a while.




What if I want the saddle you are selling for me back?


If you have given a saddle to us to sell on your behalf and then you want it back we will happily facilitate and return it to you, however it will be subject to the return fee of €60 and we will need at least 1 weeks notice. Further details can be found in our T&C's




If I spend money with you, am I locked in to further purchases?


Not at all! Absolutely not! There is never an obligation! - You are entitled to refunds in line with our terms and conditions. We believe if a saddle or accessory does not suit, you should be free to buy again from whom ever you wish - You can only do that with a no hastle, quick refund!




Do you offer a price match promise?


Yes we do on all NEW saddles and products! We have gone to great lengths to offer prices equal to or lower than you can find them in them anywhere in Ireland or Europe. BUT, 'IF' you find a matching product for less in Ireland or Europe we need to know about it. We will match the price where appropriate!




Do your advertised prices include VAT?


Absolutely - Yes. All of our prices include VAT both new and used! A dirty trick played by online retailers is to make you think you are getting a great deal, only to then apply VAT at the checkout!




How do I return a New Product or New Saddle!


You can return any new product. There will be a personalised return slip sent with your purchased item. .
The return must be made within 32 days of delivery. The return must be organised by you and made at your own expense. (Unless of course the mistake was ours) Once we receive the item we will refund you the product cost, less the original postage fee. All items must be returned clean and totally unused, immaculate with the original undamaged packing and labels attached. All refunds will only be made to the original payee & payment method.




How do your used saddles compare on price to other retailers?


We never ever pay any heed what so ever to how much other's sell their used saddles for! We set our own presedence! We price our saddles against all aspects of the individual saddle! After all no two saddles are the same! Some retailers are charging ridiculously random prices, basically, whatever they think they can get away with, in honesty this is a fact that remains to this day! Part of our business model is to right this wrong!......Hence you will often find better saddles with us for less than half the price of other sellers equivalents! DO NOT GET CAUGHT OUT! TRUST IS PARAMOUNT!




Can I trust you?


This is not a silly question? Saddle sales are treated with much sceptism and rightfully so! It was this sceptism that got us started many moons ago.....we had a saddle fitter visit us from a well know saddlery with just one saddle in the van! And guess what, they told us it fit perfectly, lottery odds indeed! It was based on this single action that we realised a quality service was required. So what is our ethos - Simple!
